概要

In the first half of the semester, students will learn molecular and physiological events underlying the regulation of growth, development and responses to environmental stimuli in plants. Then, the basic principles of biotechnological processes employed in researches and industries will be highlighted in the latter half of the semester. As a Department Specialized Course, students will learn the highly academic contents associated with harmonization between environments and plants. In addition, environmental problem-solving approaches will be also introduced from the aspect of plant biology (associated with Curriculum Policy 4).

目標

The aim of this course is to understand the detailed mechanisms that regulate various life phenomena in plants based on the fundamentals of biology (Associated with Diploma Policy 2). Instructors will also introduce important experimental approaches to elucidate these mechanisms of life phenomena in plants. Therefore, students will be able to acquire basic knowledge and skills that are required for their thesis researches.

授業外の学習

Preparation: Prior to the lecture, thoroughly examine the materials provided on Moodle to grasp the overall lecture content and identify any points that require clarification (80 min). Review: Following the lecture, review the discussed content, focusing on areas that were not fully comprehended and delving deeper into understanding them (110 min).
