概要

According to the curriculum policy (CP4), to study highly academic contents on substances. Students are introduced to a variety of instrumental techniques for chemical analysis. Active learning: problem solving and example exercises will be covered in some classes. Partially flipped classes (some lecture content is provided as online materials that students should watch in preparation for class).

目標

To understand the physicochemical phenomena underpinning various instrumental chemical analysis techniques. To be able to deduce molecular structure from output of several analytical methods. To be able to choose the appropriate analytical tool(s) for each sample, and to understand qualitative and quantitative applications. According to diploma policy (Department of Materials and Life Sciences, DP4): The ability to contribute to solving science and engineering issues leading to substances and nanotechnology, harmonization of environment and life, and the creation of high-performance material by acquiring the ability to apply and develop what one has learned theoretically and technologically.

授業外の学習

Assignments, reading and solving problems, engaging with materials(3.5 hours).
