詳細情報
概要
The aim of this practical course is to understand the animal genetics and phisiology. In an animal body cells differentiate to have various functions, form tissues and organs, and work cooperatively as the body system. Through animal dissection and tissue culture, students learn structures of organs and functions of cells that compose them. By analysing animal behaviour and physiological responses of tissues and organs, students also learn mechanisms of neuronal and endocrine regulation of behaviour, sensing and homeostasis. This laboratory course is one of Department Core Courses and Elective compulsory courses in Green Science course (for third-year student or higher), and provides skills to understand the fundamentals of life which can contribute to the medical and pharmacological research and technology development (Curriculum Policy #3)
目標
Students acquire systematic understanding of the fundamentals of life by performing series of experiments on structures and functions of animals at tissue, organ and organism levels. Students are expected to obtain the ability to contribute to the basic-biological, medical and pharmacological researchs, and the creation of functional biomolecules and technology development in related fields (Diploma Policies #2, 3).
授業外の学習
Students are required to complete pre-lab learning about the background and procedure of the experiments before starting each session (30 min). Students need to revisit experimental procedures and the obtained results after each session (120 min), and submit a laboratory report after each theme of experiment within one week.
所要時間: 150 min
