概要
In CHEMSTRY LAB. 2, students will learn basic skills in organic reactions, which you have studied in courses on organic chemistry and elsewhere, through carrying out several fundamental organic reactions by themselves. The reactions include Diels-Alder, aldol, Wittig, Friedel-Crafts, and Grignard reactions (some reactions may be omitted). This class opens for up to 3rd year students and follows the department curriculum. Students would have learnt basic sciences such as physics, chemistry, and biology, and especially organic chemistry. Students must register the course via moodle in "2022化実II/ChemLab-II" of professor Toyonobu USUKI. On-demand classes will be delivered via moodle if necessry. This course corresponds to the item 2 in the curriculum policy.
目標
The goals of course is 1. to learn basic procedures in experimental organic chemistry 2. and acquiring a deeper understanding of the nature of organic chemical reactions. This course corresponds to the items 2 and 3 in the diploma policy.
授業外の学習
For each experiment, students are required to complete a preparation page in note book that summarizes the activities of the day (90 min). After the experiment, a report must be submitted within a week (100 min).
