概要

In Seminar II, following on from Seminar I, students will continue with more advanced knowledge and surveys of cutting-edge research. In some cases, lectures will also incorporate presentation formats that anticipate graduation research presentations and conference presentations. In this class, students acquire an understanding of advanced fields, present the results of their research, and acquire the skills to become researchers and apply what they have learnt theoretically and technically under a small-group education system in laboratories in accordance with Curriculum Policy 5 of the Department of Materials and Life Science and Engineering.

目標

The aim is to learn the various knowledge and skills required for conducting graduation research by reading books, academic papers and other literature related to graduation research. In addition, communication skills as a scientist are enhanced through lectures and discussions in the form of presentations. Equivalent to Diploma Policy 4.

授業外の学習

Read the books and literature given to you by your supervisor in advance and ensure that you have a good understanding of their contents. If necessary, prepare a report (80 min preparation). Check that any questions raised in advance have been answered. Resolve any remaining questions by re-reading books and literature and asking questions of the instructor (review 110 minutes). Follow any other instructions given by the supervisor.
