概要
According to the curriculum policy (CP 3), to acquire the ability to contribute to the creation of substances ranging from atoms and molecules to polymers and living molecules through coursework. In the experiments, based on the techniques and theories acquired in Material and Life Science Lab. A and Material and Life Science Lab. B, we further learn how techniques and theories are used and applied. We focus on technologies and theories common to chemistry and physics. Specifically, basic techniques of physical chemistry and organic chemistry such as physicochemical measurements, analysis techniques, basic synthesis / separation of organic low molecular weight and polymeric compounds, physical property measurements, and the theories necessary for understanding them. Active learning: Students, individually or in small groups, interact closely with the instructors (who give feedback) and the experiments involve problem solving and groupwork.
目標
To acquire expert knowledge that can be applied at the forefront in chemistry (physical chemistry, organic chemistry), and conduct creative research and development that contributes to the exploration of truth and the development and happiness of humanity. Also, for each experiment listed in the lecture schedule, in addition to understanding the basic theory, the goal is to learn the experimental techniques and instrumental operation. According to diploma policy (Department of Materials and Life Sciences, DP2): The ability to understand physical, chemical and life phenomena based on the fundamentals of physics, chemistry and biology.
授業外の学習
Preparation: read experimental texts, etc., understand class contents, and add experimental procedures to experimental notebook in preparation. (Time required: about 2 hours). Review/Report: Organize the experimental notes and put together the results. Write reports. (Time required: about 2 hours).
