概要

Students will study about the electric power generation with very low carbon emission. Conversion of wind and solar energy to electricity and to hydrogen is the most promising, efficient utilization of renewable energy sources. The lecture helps you to understand not only fundamental principles of those energy conversion, but also pros and cons with respect to the economic, social and environmental development.

目標

Understand the principles of energy conversion. Understand how to evaluate the efficiency of those systems

授業外の学習

Progress of the lecture will strongly depends on the background of each student. Because cross-disciplinary study like this class requires extensive knowledge (recommended 90 minutes ), students should make up for their own lack of essential knowledge before/ after lecture (rest of 100 minutes a week).
