詳細情報
概要
This course aims at obtaining the comprehensive intellect based on electric power engineering, semiconductor devices and control engineering. It deals with technologies of static electrical power conversions with high efficiency. Since this technology is widely used in industries such as transportation, home appliance and power systems including renewable energy generations, it is essential for our life. To understand this course, the knowledge of transient analyses of electric circuits is required. In this course, the review of transient analyses will be included at the beginning. Topics of this course include the following: semiconductor power devices, rectifier, DC-DC conversion, DC-AC conversion and applications. Computer simulations such as MATLAB/Simulink will be also made to understand the topics. The results of the simulations will be the main contents of the final report. Presentations by students will be made to understand various applications. Feedback for each class will be made by the reaction paper. Detailed contents can be found in the schedule below. This course follows the curriculum policy to acquire the perspectives of “energy creation and use” and “manufacturing and creating systems.” This is a biennial course and will be coupled with “MOTOR DRIVE SYSTEMS“. One of these courses is provided for each year. If you are interested in this course, take it in this semester. Taking "MOTOR DRIVE SYSTEMS" in the next year is strongly recommended since these courses are closely related. Students are also encouraged to take the courses "ELECTRIC POWER SYSTEM ENGINEERING" and "CLEAN ENERGY" together with this course, because part of the contents in these courses are linked each other.
目標
The objective of this course is to achieve the basic creativity of new systems in the perspectives of “energy creation and use” and “manufacturing and creating systems” required in the diploma policy. This is to understand the following items: - transient analyses, - types and mechanisms of semiconductor power devices, - power converters such as rectifier, DC-DC and DC-AC, - application of the power conversion technologies.
