概要

Green Engineering focuses on achieving sustainability through engineering and technology. In addition to covering technical aspects, the course aims to raise awareness of the world we have built to inhabit. Quizzes, handouts, etc., will be distributed through Moodle. Each class will explore a different subject, delving into well-known alternative energy technologies. Understanding the fundamentals of each energy source is essential for creating innovative solutions. Each student will be required to prepare two presentations on a chosen subject, and there will be one knowledge test (the final exam for the class). Active learning is a key component of this course, involving participation in debates, discussions, presentations, and group work. The course follows curriculum policy 2, learning fundaments of mechanical engineering in English; curriculum policy 4 by applying the abilities to “energy creation and use” and “manufacturing and system building”.

目標

Topics of Green Engineering 1 teaches about engineering quality and safety to consider environmental, economic, and social frames. Students will be able to: - understand the basic knowledge of sustainable energy - broaden their view on sustainable and novel ideas The course follows diploma policy 2, so that students will be able to address science and technology issues by studying the fundaments of science and technology; diploma policy 4 gaining the ability to develop ingenious technologies of “energy creation and use”.

授業外の学習

After each class, students are expected to engage in the following study activities, totaling 200 minutes: ・Work on the student presentation (200 minutes) – one class ・Read the assigned literature and review the class material (200 minutes) – all the other classes not mentioned above

所要時間: 200 min
