概要

Analytical chemistry can be broadly divided into chemical analysis, which mainly deals with reactions in solutions, and physical analysis, which mainly deals with electromagnetic waves and particle beams. The purpose of this lecture is to help science and engineering students understand the basics of handling analytical data and in-solution reactions, which are especially necessary for chemical analysis. Specifically, understanding significant figures, rounding of numbers, precision and accuracy, concentration of chemical species in solutions and ionic dissociation equilibrium, concepts of acids and bases, acid-base equilibrium and acid-base titration, and complex formation equilibrium, and the principles of chelate titration. It is positioned as "Learning the basics of general natural sciences such as chemistry through science and engineering common subjects II group subjects (CP2)'' in the curriculum policy.

目標

This course is based on Diploma Policy 2 of the Department of Materials and Life Sciences, and teaches students to understand the basics of materials, acquire a new view of materials and life sciences that is in harmony with nature through the creation of new materials and technological development, and contribute to humans and society. Aiming to develop human resources who can contribute, students acquire the knowledge to firmly understand the theory of equilibrium in solutions, which is the basis of analytical chemistry.

授業外の学習

Please repeat the calculations done in the lecture as many times as you like until you understand. It is important to actually try it yourself. Preparation: Understand the class content and topics (required: approximately 30 minutes each). Review: Organize your notes and clarify unclear points based on distributed materials and lessons (required: approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes each). Students will deepen their understanding of the basics of analytical chemistry by practicing on their own (required: approximately 5 hours).

所要時間: 190 min.
