概要

This course is an introduction to Molecular Biology, which commenced in the mid-20th century by the discovery of DNA as genetic material. Students will learn the chemical composition and structure of DNAs and how the DNA-encoded information is expressed in living organisms. This course belongs to Faculty of Science and Technology General Subject Group II, which offers standards for the skills and knowledge students should acquire (Curriculum Policy 2).

目標

Students will be able to obtain basic knowledge on biology at the gene level.

Preparation: References will be provided. Students are required to read and understand them (1.5 hr/class). Review: In addition, students should always review the contents learned in each class (2 hr/class).
