概要

This course deals with topics of economic development and aims to provide students with necessary tools to understand essential issues of economic development. This course will survey and examine empirical research on the main development economic theories.

目標

At the completion of this course, students should be able to: 1) Compare and explain the most commonly used measures of economic development. 2) Think critically about the major economic issues in the developing world. 3) Understand how government interventions in developing countries may result in equitable or inequitable outcomes.

Students are expected to read the resources carefully, and actively participate in online class activities.
