概要

This course covers supply chain strategy and concepts and provides the student with a solid understanding of the analytical tools necessary to solve supply chain problems. Key drivers of supply chain performance such as facilities, inventory, transportation, information, sourcing, and pricing will be covered.

目標

A general objective of the course is to develop an understanding of the following key areas and their interrelationships: the strategic role of a supply chain, the key strategic drivers of supply chain performance, and analytic methodologies for supply chain analysis. • To learn the strategic importance of good supply chain design, planning, and operation for every firm. • To convey how the key drivers may be used on a conceptual and practical level during supply chain design, planning, and operation to improve performance. • To help develop the ability to evaluate supply chain performance and to formulate required strategies.

授業外の学習

Homework problems will be assigned frequently. The purpose of the assignments is to practice the concepts that are covered in lectures and in the text. It is imperative that you work and understand these problems to successfully complete the course. I strongly encourage you to work all assignment problems as a study tool for the exams. ● Review class lecture (60 minutes). ● Work on end-chapter problems (90 minutes) ● Work on final presentation (40 minutes)
