概要

The course first introduces the general concept of strategy and why companies need to apply them. Implementation of strategy and its tools will be discussed. The course will mainly discuss business and corporate strategies. The questions discussed will be: How can corporations become and stay competitive? What decisions need to be made to do so?

目標

By the end of this course, students will be able to understand and articulate the nature and importance of strategy for organizations and businesses. They will grasp key strategic concepts, such as competitive advantage and core competencies, and become familiar with various strategic analytical models, including VRIO, the resource-based view, and models for competitive analysis like SWOT and Porter’s Five Forces. Additionally, students will gain insight into the strategic planning process and how strategy integrates with other functions within an organization.
