概要

A wide variety of organisms have evolved over 4 billion years. With the recent development of molecular biology, RNA and DNA sequences provide useful information. For example, we can estimate the evolutionary pathway of the species or genes by using the sequences. In this lecture, you will learn how to use such the information based on the bioinforamtic techniques. Students acquire expertise in life sciences necessary to contribute to the development of global environmental sciences, engineering and associated disciplines (Curriculum Policy [MS Program] #2).

目標

The course objective is to gain broad knowledge and expertise about topics of molecular evolution and bioinformatics. Students acquire expertise that will lead to leadership in cutting-edge research and development in Global Environmental Sciences, Engineering and associated disciplines, and ability to develop new technologies and explore new fields.
