SEMINAR IN GREEN SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING 1A

概要

Students will read state-of-the-art academic articles to learn the highly specialized knowledge and technical theory required to compile master's thesis. Students will also present the contents of the articles and discuss them with other students. In addition, students will also discuss "how can we apply output of our basic researches to solve the problems in our societies?" The contents of this course correspond to Curriculum Policy 1 and 2 in the field of biological science.

目標

The purpose of this course is to acquire specialized knowledge suitable for level of master's degree. Also, students will be able to correctly explain specialized contents of their own researches and scientific articles to other researchers in different fields. In addition, students will learn the approaches to apply scientific knowledge and skills to improve human societies. Purpose of this course corresponds to Diploma Policy 1 and 2.

授業外の学習

Students are required to select the articles to read and present by the discussion with their academic advisor. Then, students should read it in advance, and understand the contents properly, including the background (3 hours). In addition, students should prepare materials to present the contents of the articles (6 hours).
