概要
In this course, students will acquire advanced knowledge required for the researches focusing on responses of plants to environmental stresses. Also, students will learn various approaches to elucidate mechanisms underlying biological processes in plants, and ways to organize scientific information and data (related to "Curriculum Policy 2"). Students will be required to always organize the results obtained from their own research and read new research articles associated with biological experimental techniques. In addition, students should clearly explain the output of their own researches and discuss it with the instructor.
目標
The purpose of this course is to acquire abilities that are essential to explore new research fields. (related to "Diploma Policy 2"). Students will acquire ability to discuss the results of their own research, state new hypothesis and generate new ideas for the next approaches to deeply address important questions for plant biology. In addition, students will learn how to design detailed experimental plans to test new research hypothesis.
授業外の学習
Students will be required to read various articles of biological researches employing new experimental techniques and prepare materials for the their own research reports. Students should review the contents discussed in the weekly courses.
