概要

This tutorial/exercise is designed to guide students to carry out their research under the supervision of the adviser, report on the progress of the study at regular meetings, and receive necessary advice to complete the thesis through discussions. Student will conduct research on a specific theme; and therefore acquire profound professional knowledge of their theme in a broad context and learn about research procedures, organization and ethics. (Curriculum Policy #2 of Information Science Division) Taking the method of informing and submitting assignments using Loyola and Moodle as an online lesson as well as interactive communication using Slack.

目標

The aim of this tutorial/exercise is to learn the basics of researches in the master degree. Students will learn to acquire acquire expertise that enables one to independently play an active role at the forefront of Information Science and associated fields as well as to creatively conduct research and development that will contribute to human evolution and wellbeing. (Diploma Policy #2 of Information Science Division)

授業外の学習

To advance research so as to be able to report at the weekly progress report meetings (once a week) on the theme of the Master's thesis research. Specifically, students should understand the contents of texts and papers related to the theme. Next, students should prepare materials to explain what they understand for the progress report meeting. In addition, the applicant should consider how to proceed with the explanations in order to make them easy to understand. The above preparation requires at least 20 hours of preparation per each. In addition, review the points pointed out or noticed during the exercise.

所要時間: It is desirable to apply at least 30 hours per week.

  8. Report the research activities and discuss the future direction I
  9. Report the research activities and discuss the future direction II
  10. Final Presentation
  11. During staying at home before starting spring semester, students are required to continue each research topic and report once a week on Slack. This activity is considered be equivalent to 4 times classes.
