国際教育学特殊講義ＩＩ

概要

各国の高等教育は,独自の歴史や論理によってその基底が形づくられる一方で,互いに影響を及ぼし合いながら発展してきました。現在,世界の大学が直面している課題には,多くの類似点がみとめられます。近代大学の理念,組織,慣行のあり方自体が,高等教育の大衆化や国際化が急速に進む中で再編を迫られているのです。日本の高等教育の課題も,諸外国の動向をふまえて,グローバルな文脈の中でとらえることが必要でしょう。 この授業(演習)では,イギリスとオーストラリアの研究者が日本の私立大学を分析した近著(英語と日本語訳)を用いて,日本の高等教育システムの特質を考察します。ヨーロッパ,アメリカ,アジア諸国との比較の視点も養うことができるでしょう。日本の学生はもちろん留学生の参加も歓迎します。 While each country's higher education has been shaped by its own history and logic, they have also evolved through mutual influence. There are many similarities in the challenges facing universities around the world today. The very idea, organization and practices of modern universities are under pressure to be restructured in the face of the rapid massification and internationalization of higher education. The challenges facing Japanese higher education must also be viewed in a global context, taking into account trends in other countries. In this course (seminar), the characteristics of the Japanese higher education system will be examined using recent books (English original and Japanese translation) by British and Australian researchers who have analyzed Japanese private universities. Students will also develop a comparative perspective with European, American and Asian countries. Both Japanese and international students are welcome to participate.

・高等教育に関する基本的な用語を理解し,学術的知識を深める。 ・日本の大学・高等教育が直面している課題について,歴史的な背景と欧米・アジア主要国の動向とあわせて考察する力を身につける。 ・高等教育に関係する分野で活躍する人材に求められる論理的思考力を培う。 ・Understand basic terms related to higher education and deepen academic knowledge. ・Acquire the ability to consider issues facing universities and higher education in Japan in relation to the historical background and trends in Europe, the United States, and major Asian countries. ・Cultivate the ability to think logically, which is necessary for those who work in fields related to higher education.

授業外の学習

・各回の授業で取り上げるテーマについて文献を読み,準備すること ・授業に積極的に参加できるよう,自らの意見,疑問点を明らかにしておくこと ・自分の研究関心,研究課題と関連づけてレポートを執筆すること ・Read and prepare literature on the topics to be covered in each class. ・Clarify your own opinions and questions so that you can actively participate in the class. ・Write a report on your own research interests and topics.
