概要
This course consists of 2 parts: 1) health and 2) the impact of environmental problems on health. In Part 1, we discuss the definition of health and how to improve health at the global level. In the second part, we study different types of environmental problems, including water, air, solid wastes, e-waste, food, and domestic products. We also study the impact of climate change (crisis) on health. Throughout the course, we also consider solutions to overcome these environmental problems by using a positive deviance approach and others.
目標
Upon the completion of this course, you will be able to understand what is health, global health, and environmental health. Then you will deepen your understanding of how climate change and other environmental problems affect health at the global level. Finally, you will learn how to solve environmental problems through your group presentations and discussions.
授業外の学習
After each class, students are expected to do the following study (190 minutes in total). 1. Read the class materials and review the content (30 minutes). 2. Read additional literature on Moodle (100 minutes). 3. Find relevant video materials on YouTube or other websites to understand the contents of each class more deeply (60 minutes).
