概要
This course provides an introduction of environmental impact assessment. It explores concepts, procedures and techniques for conducting environmental assessments that environmental laws and regulations require. Case studies of environmental impact assessment are presented. At the end of the course, students will be able to demonstrate basic skills to use various techniques and approaches to identify and mitigate a project's impacts on air, water, land, and cultural resources. It is a course for both Master and PhD students. For PhD students, more course works will be required.

To achieve a good understanding of how environmental impact assessment is conducted and used as a valuable tool in engineering project management and decision-making process.
