概要
Under the circumstances of prolonged covid-19 pandemic and the war, the world is moving toward SDGs and resilient, decarbonized society, and protecting biodiversity and natural capital values at the same time. Through this course, students can obtain essential knowledge on global environmental resource management policies, theories and practices toward building sustainable society, including sustainability concept, history of environmental resource management policy, collaborative and participatory policy making, payment for ecosystem services(PES), ecosystem-based resource management, sustainable regional development, global forest conservation policy amongst others. Students are required to conduct group works on reading materials, presentations, and also an individual case study on a specific topic to make a final presentation to submit a final report.
目標
Obtain essential knowledge and understanding of key environmental resource management policy issues, and obtain in-depth knowledge on specific issues through group works, presentations, and individual study.
授業外の学習
Readings, reaction papers, group works and presentations, individual presentation and a final report will be assigned. Many reference materials are provided.
