概要

気候変動の科学について広く学ぶ(第一作業部会報告書) 気候変動の自然と社会への影響について広く学ぶ(第二作業部会報告書) 気候変動の対策について広く学ぶ(第三作業部会報告書) そのために,必要な解説を加えながら国連IPCC(気候変動に関する政府間パネル)による報告書を読む,IPCC報告書は約7年毎に世界の気候科学者が気候変動に関する最新の知見をまとめるもので,5000ページを上回る膨大なものであるが,各作業部会報告書毎に30から50ページ程度の要約が用意され,気候変動の全体を理解するための最良の資料となっている。講義では,気候変動の全体をカバーする要約全文を読むことを通して,気候変動という環境問題の全体を理解し,それが自然科学・現代社会・国際関係と深く関係していることを理解する。 Learning generally about the science of climate change (Working Group I Report) Learning generally about the impacts of climate change on natural and social systems (Working Group II Report) Learning generally about the mitigation of climate change (Working Group III Report) For learning, read the reports of the UN IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change) with necessary explanations. The IPCC reports consists of more than 5,000 pages, but each Working Group Report has a 30 to 50 page summary, which serves the best resource for understanding climate change in its entirety. In the course, students will read the full summaries that cover the entirety of climate change to understand the overall issue of climate change and its deep connection to natural science, contemporary society, and international relations.

目標

自然科学・現代社会・国際関係の相互に深く関係している気候変動という環境問題について,偏りのない知識を得るとともに,その関連性を理解する。 To gain an unbiased knowledge of the environmental issue of climate change and its relevance to the interconnectedness of natural science, contemporary society, and international relations.

授業外の学習

国連報告書の政策決定者向け要約(SPM)の和訳をあらかじめ読むことが推奨され,講義における解説を聞くことにより理解を深める,復習として必要に応じて英語原文と和訳を対照してより理解を深めることが推奨される。 It is recommended that students read the Japanese translation of the summary of policy makers (SPM) of the UN reports in advance and have the course to deepen their understanding. As a review, it is recommended to check the English original with the Japanese translation for better understanding, if necessary.
