This course will be assessed by means of class participation, a set of materials produced for use in a CLIL classroom and a 2000-word written reflection.

概要
CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning) is a rapidly spreading dual-focused learning/teaching approach in Europe. This course provides its basic principles and practical techniques to help participants give quality language teaching. A large part of class time will be used for workshos in which participants are expected to take part actively, discussing, designing and practicing CLIL lessons.
目標
On completion of this course, students will be able to ● explain the key principles underpinning CLIL, ● teach effective CLIL lessons, ● and apply CLIL pedagogies to general language teaching.
授業外の学習
Participants are expected to spend 30 minutes on revision, 60 minutes on assigned readings, and 100 minutes on practical tasks (e.g. lesson design, materials development, preparation for demo lessons).
