環境と開発１

概要

水は人間にとっても自然にとっても不可欠な資源である。そのため,水の利用には,社会の自然観の変化,社会構造やイデオロギーの変化,経済発展,技術など 様々な要 因が反映される。 このコースでは,ここ数年に出版された水に関する学際的な教科書を輪読し,そのよ うな水に対する様々なアプローチを概観することを目的とする。 その先には,環境と開発の関係について,さまざまな疑問が出てくるかもしれない。例えば: ・なぜ過去の経済社会システムが現 代の環 境問題を引き起こしているように見える のか? ・ 権力の均衡や資源の偏在は,環境変化の原因や結果にどのような影響を及ぼしてきたのか ? ・持続可能な開発のあり方を決定するのは,あるいは決定してきたのは誰なのか? ・持続可能性という概念がしばしば争点として認識されるのはなぜか? 参加者は毎週1章を読み,それに関連する様々な概念やトピックについて議論する。 **************************** Water is an essential resource essential to both humans and nature. Therefore, water use reflects various factors, including society's changing views of nature, social structures and ideologies, economic development, and technology. This course aims to provide an overview of the various approaches to water by reading interdisciplinary textbooks on water published in the last few years. After finishing such work, you might find a variety of questions about the relationship between the environment and development. For example: -Why do past economic and social systems often cause contemporary environmental problems? -How have “balances“ of power and ubiquitous resource distribution affected the causes and consequences of environmental change? -Who determines, or has determined, how sustainable development should be pursued? -Why is sustainability often perceived as a "contentious issue“? Participants read a chapter each week and discuss various related concepts and topics.

-学生は水問題に対する様々な学 際的アプローチに関する基礎 知識を得ることができる -学生は,自然と人間の関係を再考することを通して,環境と開発に関する様々な 理論,概 念,方法論を発展させることができる ******************************* -Students acquire basic knowledge of various interdisciplinary approaches to water issues. -Students can develop various theories, concepts, and methodologies related to the environment and development through a rethinking of the relationship between nature and humans

授業外の学習

・授業前:文献を読み,疑問点や重要点の抽出を行う。レジュメ担当者はそれをもとにレジュメを作成,それ以外の参加者はそれぞれの点についての自分なりの考えをまとめておく(100分) ・授業後:演習の議論の中で得られたキーワードやフレーズをふりかえり,タームペーパーに反映させる作業を行う(100分) ****************************** ・Before class: Read the assigned literature and identify questions and important points. The presenter should prepare a resume based on these points, and the other participants should summarize their own ideas on each point. (100min) ・After class: Participants should review on the key words and phrases from the discussion and reflect them in their term papers. (100min)
