o 10% 2 progress checks - 5 points each o In classes 3 and 5 each group will submit an outline of their project contents o All submissions must include proper citations. o 20% MIDTERM Timely completion of presentation and paper Requirements: o Give a 15-minute presentation + 10min for Q & A. o Prepare a presentation using materials such as PowerPoint slides (10-20 slides only) o Submit a report. Approx. 4000 words o All submissions must include proper citations. o 30% FINAL Timely completion of final presentation and paper Requirements: o Give a 20-minute presentation + 5-10min for Q & A. o Submit a final report. Approx. 6000 words o Prepare a presentation using materials such as PowerPoint slides (15-25 slides only) o All submissions must include proper citations. All materials should be submitted on time on Moodle.

概要
Project management 2 will further develop and build upon the skills and knowledge introduced in Project management 1. After a review of the project preparation the course will delve deeper into implementation by using case studies and real examples of project plans to learn from both good practices and challenges faced. In this course more time will be given to 1) monitoring and evaluation 2) project budget development, 3) resource mobilization and 4) reporting to donors. The course will be run in workshop format requiring active student participation. Midterm and final evaluation will be based on the plans and presentations students develop in groups throughout the semester. Weekly reading assignments will include case studies and project plans from different international development agencies.

Aim of the course:each student will gain/learn A) An in depth understanding of project management cycle. B) Specific skills to develop and manage projects based on background research. C) A deeper understanding of the benefits and means for community participation. D) The confidence and knowledge to be more effective in their studies. E) The ability to develop a suitable and productive project aiming solve a specific social problem. F) How to set goals that will contribute to solving a specific problem in a specific community G) How to create an action plan based on data H) Improved presentation skills I) Improved project evaluation and reporting skills
授業外の学習
Expected work outside of class. There will be three types of weekly assignments. 1) Watching weekly lecture before class, preparing notes and questions Because you will have 1 hour of prerecorded lecture - we will reduce the class time by 1 hour. The original class time of 9:00-10:40 and 10:55-12:35 will be changed to 9:30-12:00. 2) Readings about project management stages or examples of project plans 3) Research on the topic of their choosing for the development of a project. Minimum required outside class work: At least 3 hours per week. Online Course Pre-recorded lectures will be prepared prior to each class. Zoom details will be posted on Moodle. Moodle page with more details to be made available in April 2024
