概要

These courses prepare students to be able to understand short lectures/texts based on a specific subject and actively present their ideas with originality. Students will be able to participate in lecture processing skills and conduct tasks such as role-plays, discussions, demonstrations or presentations based on rich authentic input on topics. These courses are designed for students to exercise critical thinking skills to learn about subject content and build language and academic skills around the topics. この科目群では,トピックについての短いレクチャー/文章を理解し,学生が独創性を持って考えを活発に伝えることを学ぶ。ロールプレイ,ディスカッション,デモンストレーション,プレゼンテーションなどの活動に積極的に参加することにより,本質的な内容について学び,英語を実践的に活用できるように学習していきます。これらのコースは,学生がクリティカルシンキングスキルを用い,主題の内容について学び,そのトピックに関する言語とアカデミックスキルを構築できるように設計されています。 On this course, you will learn the language and skills and knowledge you need to be able to become skillful in negotiating with others. You will practice using critical thinking skills, and the concepts and skills you learn from the course will be applicable to both in business and other work situations, as well as everyday situations. このコースでは他者と上手に交渉できるようになるために必要な言語・スキル・知識を学びます。このコースで学んだ概念とスキルは職場だけでなく日常生活でも使えるでしょう。 Students in this course will learn, analyze, and practice strategies and methods used to conduct successful negotiations in various situations, including both personal and professional. We will follow a pattern of learning about a negotiation strategy and then using role plays and discussions to practice and develop skills in using the strategy. This course will help students expand their ability to recognize situations and determine the type of negotiation tactics best suited to those circumstances.

目標

By the completion of this course, students should be able to: (a) use expressions and phrases that are often found during the course of negotiations; (b) understand lectures and discussion comprehend and summarize negotiating points; (c) learn both general and specialized vocabulary; (d) apply critical thinking to evaluate the issues we explore.

授業外の学習

Based on the content of the syllabus and textbook materials, students will be asked to preview/review the lessons. Homework in connection to the lessons will be given every week. シラバスの内容や教科書資料をもとに,授業の予習・復習をしていただきます。 レッスンに関連した宿題が毎週出されます。 Students must prepare materials necessary in the completion of tasks in class.

  9. A new offer (1): Enquiring about offers, Expressing opinions
  10. A new offer (2): Suggesting a solution
  11. Dealing with deadlock (1): Expressing agreement and disagreement, Asking pertinent questions
  12. Dealing with deadlock (2): Making and obtaining concessions, Encouraging agreement
  13. Agreement (1): Describing current and future situations, Conveying commitment
  14. Agreement (2): Stating progress made Setting deadlines, Summarizing
