詳細情報
概要
On this course, you will apply the study skills you developed in Academic Communication 1 to study an academic subject or topic. You will be able to deepen your understanding about a topic and further develop your knowledge, language and critical thinking skills. Wide-ranging topics including critical thinking, essay development and structure, and specific language skills such as hedging, formal vocabulary building, and rhetoric will be discussed and practiced.
目標
On this course, you will use the skills you learned in AC1 to listen and read about a particular topic which will be covered in class. You will also be able to talk and write effectively in English about what you have learned. You will be guided to think academically about the topic with a focus on critical thinking. Additionally, students will learn to apply all skills, issues, and strategies to their other academic courses -- which is the essence of this course.
