概要

On this course, you will apply the study skills you developed in Academic Communication1 to study an academic subject or topic. You will be able to deepen your understanding about a topic and further develop your knowledge, language and critical thinking skills. このコースではAcademic Communication1 で学んだ学習スキルを使ってアカデミックな科目,或はトピックについて学びます。トピックについての知識と言葉とクリティカル・シンキングスキルをさらに伸ばしていきます。 This course aims to develop students' understanding of creativity and innovation in a world of volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity (VUCA). Students will actively participate in class discussions and critically reflect on course readings as well as topics of their choice. Students will also engage in individual and group research to identify relevant and credible sources to generate their own ideas for innovation. Students will explore effective ways of conveying ideas to others through role-plays and presentations. この授業ではイノベーションについての理解を深めると共に,ディスカッションやロールプレイなどの実践を通して,多様な他者に自分の考えを効果的に伝える方法を探究します。

目標

On this course, you will use the skills you learned in AC1 to listen and read about a particular topic which will be covered in class. You will also be able to talk and write effectively in English about what you have learned. You will be guided to think academically about the topic with a focus on critical thinking. このコースではAC1で学んだスキルを使って,授業で扱うトピックについて話を聞き,記事などを読みます。こうして学習したことについて効果的に話し,またエッセイにまとめます。また扱われるトピックについて学術的に,かつ批判的に考える技術も学びます。 Upon completion of the course, students should be able to: - apply key concepts to their own experiences and contexts - analyze, apply and synthesize content from course materials in discussions and presentations - critically reflect on their own learning trajectory

授業外の学習

Based on the content of the syllabus and textbook materials, students will be asked to preview/review the lessons.
