概要

[This lecture is in English] Media all over the world are facing challenging times. Over the years, various researches and studies in journalism have provided media professionals with a framework to safeguard basic responsibilities, such as those proposed by Wilbur Shramm and other researchers. In this course students learn about the fundamentals and diversity of global media environment and journalism through reading, researching, discussing, presenting and writing English news on global topics.

目標

Students will be able to identify international news efficiently, understand different critical viewpoints, discuss and hold presentations on current global affairs in English.

授業外の学習

Students are to read news materials prescribed, and actively participate in class discussions. In each class, students will present their critical summary or opinions.
