REPORTING IN ENGLISH 3

概要

[This class is an intermediate English class] In this class, students will read, summarize and discuss news in English. Each week, a news article will be assigned so that students can read and summarize it until the following week. English news articles on various topics (political/economic/social/environmental/technological/entertainment/sustainability issues, etc.) will be chosen from Japanese or foreign newspapers, magazines and websites. In addition, we will watch and discuss articles/new bulletins and provide feedback to each other. For class assignments, students are expected to submit a reaction paper.

目標

Through this class, students will become aware of the current happenings/affairs around the world, including Japan, and will be able to read long articles, summarizing the essence of articles into shorter paragraphs, discussing domestic and international news reports from journalistic point of view, and expressing their opinions in English.

授業外の学習

Students will preview and review the class materials regularly while preparing the assignments.
