概要

“Truth”, “accuracy”, and “objectivity” are cornerstones of media/journalism ethics. Journalists and media professionals all over the world are encouraged to maintain a degree of detachment from the personal religions, groups, or countries they are associated with, in order to minimize potential biases in their reporting/broadcasting. This course on ethics in the mass media/journalism deals with fundamental and universal principles that form media professionals and journalists who are juxtaposed between time and space.

目標

To know how media ethics came into the mainstream media systems/thoughts. To academically understand and critically analyze the importance of ethics in media/journalism in today’s world.
