ヨーロッパ・アメリカ史系概説II

概要

この講義では,「中世」と呼ばれる5世紀から1500年頃までの(西)ヨーロッパ世界の歴史を扱う。この時代では,我々が生きる現代社会にも大きな影響を与えている近代ヨーロッパの諸制度や価値観の土台が形成されると同時に,古代とも近世・近代とも異なる独自の世界・「文明」も展開されていた。こうした理解のもとで,西洋中世の主要な出来事や歴史家の問題関心,多様な歴史史料とそれへのアプローチの方法を学ぶ。/ This course focuses on the history of the (west) European world from the 5th century to approximately 1500, so-called the "Middle Ages". While were formed some important elements for the modern European institutions or values in this era, it deveroped on the other hand particular world or civilization which is much defferent from those of ancient or modern periods. Special attention is given to the major historical events, research interests of historians, and history sources and also how to exploit them.

目標

1) ヨーロッパ中世史の主要な出来事や諸観念を関連付けて考察することができる。/ Students will relate/examine past events and ideas relative to the Middle Ages. 2) ヨーロッパ中世史に関わる研究者の問題関心を,適切に説明することができる。/ Students will absorb/describe concerns and ways of thinking of the researchers on the Middle Ages. 3) ヨーロッパ中世研究で利用される様々な史資料のリソースを,適切に説明・活用することができる。/ Students will access/interpret history sources as to the Middle Ages.

授業外の学習

初回授業の開始前に,高校世界史の教科書の該当箇所を読んでおくこと。授業後はレジュメや参考資料を参照して,かつ参考書に挙げら文献やインターネット上の情報から調べ,ノートにまとめるなどして理解を深めること。/ Befors the first class begins, students will read the related parts of the textbook of world history in high school. After lectures, students will be responsible for being familiar with their contents through the handout, other recommended materials, and some informations on the Internet. 授業1回あたりの学習時間の具体的な内訳※: ・予習(80分以上):高校世界史の教科書,指定参考書,Web情報等で該当回のテーマや関連事項を調べて,ノート等にまとめておく ・復習(110分以上):授業内容をノート等に整理する。さらに疑問点や発展学習を自分で考え,参考資料を検索・読解し,そこで分った点を前記のノートに付け加える ※ 時間内訳と予習・復習の内容は,各回の進行状況と教員の指示により変更される可能性がある/ Breakdown of learning time per class session: - Preparation (80 minutes or more): Research the theme and related topics for the session using high school world history textbooks, designated reference books, web sources, etc., and compile notes. - Review (110 minutes or more): Organize the content of the class in notes. Additionally, consider any questions or further learning points independently, search for and comprehend reference materials, and add any new insights to the aforementioned notes. * The breakdown of time and the content of preparation and review are subject to change based on the progress of each session and the instructions of the instructor.
