概要
ローマのブリテン島支配の時代から現代までのイギリス(含アイルランド,スコットランド)の演劇史を,文化史・政治史・思想史的背景とからめ,作品そのものに触れながら概観する。授業の途中か終了前に数人のグループで授業で扱った事柄に関する質問を考えて,Slackかmoodleに投稿していただく予定。
目標
特定作家や作品についての専門的研究の準備段階として,必須の知識を身につける。
授業外の学習
各回の講義の前に『イギリス文学入門 [新版]』(三修社・2023年)を自分で読み,演劇史の枠組みと,授業で触れることのできない細かい人名や作品名についての知識を得ること。
