オーストラリア・サミット・プログラム

概要

オーストラリア国立大学(ANU)の教職員・学生と協働し,一週間にわたりグローバル社会の現代的課題について議論する学生サミットを実施する。 サミットでは,教員や実務家による講義,学生同士の議論,ロールプレイ,フィールド・ワークを実施し,それらを通じて,現代的な課題の問題の核心を探索し,課題の解決に向けた共同宣言を作り上げる。2024年度は上智大学を会場とし,ANU側の参加者を受け入れる。以降原則奇数年度に本学からANUに学生を派遣し,偶数年度にANUからの学生を受入れる。参加学生数は15名程度を上限とし,選考・選抜を行う。 また,サミットの準備のため,オンデマンド教材の視聴,事前講義への参加が求められる。 これらの活動を通じ,参加学生には, ①総合的かつ学際的な視点から現状を分析し,成果,課題,機会を見極めること ②将来のビジョンとそれを実現するためのアプローチを明確にすること ③特に国際協力に重点を置きながら,変革のための具体的な戦略を特定すること が求められる。 本科目を履修した学生は,翌年度プログラムに参加する後輩学生へのサポートやアドバイス,プログラムの運営等に積極的に関与することが期待される。 Working with faculty, staff and students of the Australian National University (ANU), a week-long student summit will be held to discuss contemporary issues in global society. The summit will include lectures by faculty and practitioners, discussions among students, role-plays, and field work, through which students will explore the core issues of contemporary challenges and create a joint declaration to solve them. In AY 2024, Sophia University will be the venue and will host participants from the ANU side. In principle, Sophia will send students to ANU in odd-numbered years and accept students from ANU in even-numbered years. The number of participating students will be limited to about 15, and screening will be made. In addition, participants will be required to watch on-demand materials and attend pre-summit lectures in preparation for the summit. Through these activities, participating students will, (1) Analyze the current situation from a comprehensive and interdisciplinary perspective to identify achievements, challenges, and opportunities (2) Clarify the vision for the future and the approach to realize it. (3) Identify specific strategies for change, with particular emphasis on international cooperation is required.

目標

オーストラリアを代表するオーストラリア国立大学の学生との議論や,日豪の様々な分野の教員・実務家との交流を通して,現代世界の抱える諸課題の解決に向けた分断を乗り越えるための思考法・俯瞰力・分析力・交渉力・コミュニケーション力等々に関する学習の機会を提供し,グローバル社会で活躍できるリーダーを養成する。 単に知識を学んだり,英語力を磨くといったレベルではなく,課題に対する具体的なソリューションを説得力ある形で提案できるような人材の育成を目指す。 Through discussions with students from ANU (one of the Australia's leading universities) and exchanges with faculty and practitioners from various fields in Australia and Japan, the program provides students with opportunities to learn how to think, look over, analyze, negotiate, and communicate in order to overcome divisions to solve various issues facing the modern world. In addition, this program aims to nurture leaders who will be active in global society. The goal of this prigram is to develop human resources who can propose concrete solutions to issues in a persuasive manner, rather than simply learning knowledge or improving English skills.

授業外の学習

サミット前には,資料の読み込み,オンデマンド教材の視聴,参加者とのディスカッションなどの入念な準備が求められる。 Thorough preparation for the summit is required before the summit, such as reading materials, watching videos, and discussion with participants.
