概要
The course helps students study the growth of the variety of film cultures in India which produces the highest number of films in the world. Besides studying the popular Bollywood genre of film through its historical evolution, the course will also help increase knowledge on the rich and diverse language film genres in India. A study of select Indian films of the past and the present centuries will be taken up for analysis and study. There will be opportunities for students to study an Indian film independently and do a film appreciation to further get insights into Indian filmography.

- To help students gain a visual and artistic knowledge about Indian films - To watch some important films and conduct film appreciation - To gain knowledge on the uniqueness and variety of Indian films - To gain a critical worldview of Indian filmography.
授業外の学習
Students are expected to read material provided by the instructor and also do class presentations on various topics. They are also expected to watch some Indian films in various schools of Indian filmography.
