概要
Students will be able to study academic subjects in a structured way at an undergraduate level. A CLIL approach will be employed so that students can learn the basic knowledge of the subject and the specialist language used in the subject in English. この科目群では,アカデミックな科目を体系的に英語で学びます。内容言語統合型学習(CLIL)を用い,科目の基本的な内容やその分野で使用される専門用語,学問分野を英語で身につける方法について学びます。 On this course, you will learn about how Environmental Issues can be approached using more than one discipline. Drawing on some topics or cases related to environmental issues, this introductory course provides an accessible and engaging introduction to this field of study. このコースは環境問題を解決する様々なアプローチについて学び,関連トピックをわかりやすい英語で紹介する入門コースです。 This course will focus on several ecosystems in depth, in particular, the forest and the ocean. Film will be used to increase vocabulary related to environmental issues and to foster discussion related to the impact of human activity on nature. Through readings, students will also become familiar with environmentalists such as Rachel Carson and Thoreau. Active learning will be a central feature of this course, experienced through pair/group work, project/presentations, and reflection assignments. As a result of these activities, critical thinking skills will also be cultivated.

Students will need to complete reading and/or listening assignments prior to class and be ready to discuss. Preparation may also involve writing and researching.
