概要

Students will be able to study academic subjects in a structured way at an undergraduate level. A CLIL approach will be employed so that students can learn the basic knowledge of the subject and the specialist language used in the subject in English. この科目群では,アカデミックな科目を体系的に英語で学びます。内容言語統合型学習(CLIL)を用い,科目の基本的な内容やその分野で使用される専門用語,学問分野を英語で身につける方法について学びます。 On this course, you will learn about how International Relations is defined as an academic subject. Drawing on some topics related to international relations, this introductory course provides an accessible and engaging introduction to the subject. このコースは国際関係とは何かを学問的に定義し,関連トピックをわかりやすい英語で紹介する入門コースです。 In this course you will be reading about and discussing various international events with the focus on International Relations theory. At the end of the course, you will give a presentation about an event of international significance using the knowledge and tools you have acquired during the course.

目標

Upon completing, students will be able to talk about general concepts in regards to International Relations, analyze events from the theoretical perspective, and give a presentation.

授業外の学習

Based on the content of the syllabus and textbook materials, students will be asked to preview/review the lessons. Homework in connection to the lessons will be given every week. シラバスの内容や教科書資料をもとに,授業の予習・復習をしていただきます。 レッスンに関連した宿題が毎週出されます。 Homework will involve writing short summaries of topics covered in class, reviewing vocabulary, researching information for the upcoming topic, and preparing a presentation at the end of the semester. Homework will take approximately 190min for each lesson.
