概要

Students will be able to study academic subjects in a structured way at an undergraduate level. A CLIL approach will be employed so that students can learn the basic knowledge of the subject and the specialist language used in the subject in English. この科目群では,アカデミックな科目を体系的に英語で学びます。内容言語統合型学習(CLIL)を用い,科目の基本的な内容やその分野で使用される専門用語,学問分野を英語で身につける方法について学びます。 On this course, you will learn about how Law is defined as an academic subject. Drawing on some topics related to Law, this introductory course provides an accessible and engaging introduction to the subject. このコースは法律とは何かを学問的に定義し,関連トピックをわかりやすい英語で紹介する入門コースです。 The law of tort governs how we interact with the people around us. If I call the fire service, they go to the wrong house by mistake, and my house burns down, should the fire service pay money to me? We look at real facts from real cases. You must decide if you think the defendant is liable. We then compare our opinions with the real judgement to understand some important principals of U.K. criminal law.

目標

Get a general understanding of some of the most important principles in the British civil law. To develop competent note-taking skills and be able to understand key facts in real cases. To be able to debate with other students and give a persuasive argument about your opinions of the case. To understand the real judgment in the case and how it helped to develop important principles of law.

授業外の学習

Based on the content of the syllabus and textbook materials, students will be asked to preview/review the lessons.
