概要

In this course, students will learn the basic concepts, methods, and applications of data science and data engineering to understand how to extract meaning from data and provide feedback to the field. As a foundation of data science, students learn how to proceed data analysis, how to design data analysis, how to observe collected data, data analysis methods, and data visualization methods. As for data engineering, students will learn about the application of big data, data representation by computers, data collection methods using IoT (Internet of Things), data processing and processing methods, IT security, and so on. This course corresponds to the field of "Symbiosis and the World" in the Curriculum Policy 3.

目標

The objectives of this course are to learn complementary and advanced education in mathematics, data science, and AI education (literacy level), and to acquire the ability to extract meaning from data, to provide feedback to the field, and to acquire the basic ability to utilize AI to solve problems. The goal of this course is to acquire a broad perspective to apply mathematics, data science, and AI to one's own field of specialization.

授業外の学習

Handouts on the contents of the lecture will be distributed. Students are required to prepare for the lecture and review the material as much as the class time so that they can understand the contents of the handout.
