概要
This course focuses on the history of German and Japanese films from the beginnings in the 19th century until the end of the 20th century and focus on films after the Second World War.. The course requires in-class presentations and a term paper, normally in German oder Japanese.
目標
The participants shall develop a deeper understanding in regard to the technical, symbolic and narrative structures of films in general and of the history of German and Japanese films in special.
