概要
This course explores the history of the United States from the experiences of Black Americans. We will survey key figures, events, and concepts which have shaped the history of Black America from the colonial period to the present. This course also introduces students to some foundational texts, visuals, and narratives.
目標
Through this course, students will acquire skills to 1) analyze the historical experiences of Black Americans from a wide range of events, factors, and people, 2) understand the racial formation of the United States, and 3) read primary sources and secondary materials.

Students are expected to read assigned materials prior to each session (100 mins). They are also expected to reflect lecture materials after each session (90 mins). (Total 190 mins)
