概要

This course offers you opportunities to develop your English communication skills and comprehend various contemporary topics in the English-speaking world. The theme of this semester is “historical memory” and we delve into how American colleges and universities discuss their involvement in slavery in the past.

目標

1) critically analyze contemporary issues from the historical point of view and 2) effectively engage in class discussion in English.

授業外の学習

Students are expected to read assigned materials prior to each session (100 mins). They are also expected to reflect lecture materials after each session (90 mins). (Total 190 mins)
