概要
This course offers students opportunities to continue developing their English discussion and debate skills. At the same time, students will also deepen their understanding of various social topics in the United States. This semester, through reading and discussion, we will continue thinking about what it means for people from the majority community to understand the lives of minority community members.
目標
Through this course, students will acquire skills to: 1) deliver their ideas and opinions in a logical fashion, 2) participate class discussion and debate in English, and 3) critically analyze contemporary social issues.
授業外の学習
Students are expected to read assigned materials prior to each session (100 mins). They are also expected to reflect lecture materials after each session (90 mins). (Total 190 mins)
