概要
This course aims to develop students’ critical thinking ability through the process of research and writing. Students will write and complete their research papers of 1500 words in English throughout the semester. Through the process of producing a research paper, students will learn how to find a research topic, how to analyze reliable sources, how to make a research question and a thesis statement, and how to state their arguments with supporting evidence. *Students wishing to retake this course are required to email the instructor before the first class.

This course has the following objectives: - To develop critical thinking ability through research and writing skills - To evaluate and analyze a variety of reliable sources - To clearly state your arguments with supporting evidence
授業外の学習
Students are required to complete weekly assignments before the class. These include the reading of assigned texts and/or the writing of approximately 150-300 words each week.
