Drama performance 40%, Presentation 40% *There will be an AC-TEAP exam in December. As it is a mandatory test for all sophomore students in the English Studies Department, please make sure that you will be able to take the exam on the designated date (don't plan on doing a part-time job or club activities on that day). The test is from 9am to 5pm.

概要

English skills course gives students opportunities to be exposed to academic English. Therefore, this course will consist of two components. First, there will be discussions/debates to improve your fluency in speaking and listening. Second, you will be expected to read newspaper articles and academic papers (mostly provided by the teacher). Less than 85% attendance will result in failure regardless of the reason for the absence. * Students wishing to retake this course are required to email the instructor before the first class.

目標

The purpose of this class is to give you the opportunity to improve and develop not only your oral/aural skills in communicating effectively in English, but also your intellectual ability.

Students will be expected to read newspaper articles and academic papers at home and prepare for short presentations.
