概要

This course aims to develop students’ critical thinking ability through enhancing four English skills of listening, reading, speaking, and writing. In particular, this semester focuses on activities of individual presentations on the topics each student select. Students will learn how to prepare for their presentations and how to communicate their ideas clearly and persuasively. *Students wishing to retake this course are required to email the instructor before the first class.

This course has the following objectives: - To develop critical thinking ability through enhancing four English skills of listening, reading, speaking, and writing. - To become familiar with presentation styles and skills - To communicate your ideas clearly and persuasively

授業外の学習

Students are required to complete weekly assignments before the class. These include the reading of the assigned texts and preparation for presentations. Students are also expected to read a book during the summer break. The first few classes will be spent on sharing their book reviews. Toward the end of the semester, students will perform individual presentations.
