概要

English skills course gives students opportunities to be exposed to academic English. The topics covered in the Spring semester are "class", "gender" and "race". This course will consist of two components. First, there will be discussions/debates to improve your fluency in speaking and listening. Second, you will be expected to read newspaper articles and academic papers (mostly provided by the teacher). * Students wishing to retake this course are required to email the instructor before the first class.

目標

The purpose of this class is to give you the opportunity to improve and develop not only your oral/aural skills in communicating effectively in English, but also your intellectual ability.

You will be expected to read newspaper articles and academic papers at home and prepare for short presentations.
