概要
This course aims to provide students with opportunities to think critically about current events in society. Specifically, students will improve their understanding of book challenges. Classes will consist of critical reading, discussions/debates, group work/presentations, and/or writing. Details of each session will be announced on the first day of class. * Students wishing to retake this course are required to email the instructor before the first class.
目標
The goal of this course is for students to (1) improve proficiency in reading, writing, listening and speaking and (2) develop their critical thinking skills through various academic resources.
授業外の学習
Students are expected to read assigned materials before each session and prepare for in-class discussions, debates and presentations.
