概要
As a sequence to English Composition A-1, this course will continue to help students further develop their academic writing skills. In the fall semester, students will particularly focus on how to conduct research on the topic of their interest and write a five-paragraph argumentative essay based on their research and with proper sources. Details will be announced on the first day of class. * Students wishing to retake this course are required to email the instructor before the first class.
目標
The goal of this course is for students to learn new skills for effective academic essays: how to conduct research, incorporate in their writing information from credible sources according to a discipline-appropriate documentation style, and complete a research essay with unity and coherence.

Students are expected to complete reading and/or writing assignments before each class.
